Client Project Presentation – Buffalo River Outfitters
In the second semester of the IT Technical Certificate program, my team and I planned, designed, and developed a live website for Buffalo River Outfitters. We wrapped up the project with an in-person presentation, demonstrating the fully functional site directly to our clients.
The project highlighted not only our technical skills, but also our ability to collaborate effectively as a team.
Each member contributed to the project’s success. As the team lead, I helped coordinate our workflow, keep the project on track, and ensure that everyone understood their responsibilities and deadlines. These skills strengthened my confidence in leading real-world web projects.
Presenting a live client-facing website allowed me to demonstrate teamwork, collaboration, and active listening. It also highlighted problem-solving, professionalism, and flexibility, as we responded in real time to client questions and feedback while showcasing our technical work.
For this assignment, I created a 5-minute “sales pitch” highlighting why I’m an effective and valuable team member. I focused on both my soft skills, like communication, collaboration, and adaptability, and my technical skills, including web content management, HTML, CSS, and digital accessibility.
The presentation demonstrates how I combine technical expertise with strong interpersonal skills to contribute to team success and support project goals efficiently.
5-Minute Sales Pitch
This presentation showcased my communication and persuasion skills, as I had to clearly explain my value as a team member in a short timeframe. It also demonstrated self-awareness, confidence, and adaptability, as I tailored my pitch to highlight both my technical expertise and interpersonal strengths in a concise, engaging way.
